Our Story
From a Hackathon
to a Global Edtech Network
TeachAThon Edtech Network is a forward-thinking education technology initiative built to empower educators with the skills, creativity, and confidence needed for effective teaching in a digital world.
We began as #Teach-A-Thon, a professional development hackathon supported in 2018 by the Creative Commons Community Activities Fund. The project revealed a reality: many educators were not yet familiar with the opportunities that open education, digital learning, and technology adoption can bring into the classroom.
Today, TeachAThon has evolved into a dynamic Edtech Network offering open education insights, digital empowerment, professional learning, community development, and global collaboration, all focused on the ultimate goal of learners’ success.
